Jumbo Seafood, Riverside Point

We arrived in Singapore from Genting around 9pm and it was really in our agenda to head straight to Jumbo across Clarke Quay for a late dinner.

We got there before 10pm and was relieved to know they were open till midnight. Since it was the last night of our guests, we were eager to fill up with yummy seafood.

Peanuts "on-the-house".

Chili Crab is a must in Jumbo. I really don't like shelled seafood that much but the sauce is perfect with the bread. Or on top of steaming white rice.

I really love this bread. It's dough is the same as "siopao" or "pau" then it's sinfully deep fried. So the outside is crispy but very chewy in the inside.

Gotta order that extra sauce..

I have to say Jumbo has one of the best, if not the best, Cereal Prawns around. You can even have the shell on your shrimp removed. This is probably my favorite out of all the famous Singaporean dishes. If I'm not mistaken, the shrimp is sauteed in butter with nestum cereal and dried curry leaf. Must Try!!!

Mee Goreng is another famous Singaporean dish. I don't think these Malay-style noodles are a signature dish of Jumbo because we've tasted way better mee goreng at the hawkers.

A happy satisfied bunch. hehe

We spent around $120 for the entire meal. Not bad to think we had crab and shrimp. Plus there were 6 of us. AND most of all, Farida treated us the meal. hehehe. So all the more better. Jumbo was a perfect meal to cap off our short vacation and to celebrate the despedida of our guests.

Robby, our Highschool classmate & Johann's close friend, paid us a quick visit as he was in Singapore over the weekend.

Here is my rating for Jumbo:
