The F-word blog is about the 4 F's that I enjoy the most in life. Food for eating out, Film for watching movies & Flight for traveling. I will also be documenting my ATTEMPT (Again, I say ATTEMPT hehe) on losing weight, hence the last F for Fitness.

The Fat Cow
Just thinking about Fat Cow makes me salivate haha. We finally got to try this famous steak restaurant early this month. We were ecstatic that they were on the Entertainer app! Plus, we were celebrating our anniversary so there's our excuse to finally eat here haha.

Tokyo, Japan
YEYYYY!! I am so happy that my blog is finally up to date! hehehe. Anyway, I made an impulsive decision to go to Tokyo last labor day weekend in May. It wasn't really super last minute but I only planned this maybe 3-4 weeks prior to the trip, when I would usually plan months ahead.
I booked Singapore Airlines as the fare was justifiably reasonable given that it was a long weekend. Plus, the timing was perfect as I left Thursday night and arrived Friday early morning then back to Singapore on Sunday 5pm. That meant I had almost 3 full days for sightseeing and leisure. I was going solo on this trip so 3 days is enough for me, but I definitely need to go back to Japan one day to explore more.

Jewel Cafe and Bar, Rangoon Road
We usually plan where to eat on what's available on Entertainer app in the area we are in. We recently discovered Jewel Cafe on Rangoon Road and I must say this is now my favorite hole-in-the-wall cafe in Singapore.

Osteria Mozza, Marina Bay Sands
We stuffed ourselves silly at the Gelato World Tour so we decided to have something salty and savory for dinner haha. I've always wanted to try Osteria Mozza by the famous chef Mario Batali so I was very excited about this.

Gelato World Tour 2015, Asia Pacific Finals
We went to the Gelato World Tour at the Marina Bay Sands last Mar 22 because the friend of my flatmate Kri is one of the contestants and the official representative from the Philippines.

Rochester Cafe, Rochester Park
For foodies like me and Alfian, Entertainer app is really a God send. You get 1 for 1 meals so you really end up saving a lot on restaurant food. We decided to try out Rochester Cafe one weekend in mid-March.

Boracay, Philippines (February 2015)
Right before I started my new job in March, I decided to go on a 5-day trip to Boracay with my Mom. Luckily, SilkAir now flies direct to Kalibo from Singapore which makes it really convenient.

The Westin Singapore Hotel
It was mixed feelings quitting my job at SAP as the company is really good and the benefits were great. Imagine, in my 6 months stay with the company I got to travel to the USA twice, Kuala Lumpur and Manila. Unfortunately, I really didn't like the job. I guess it's true that no matter how much you get paid or how good the company is, it all boils down to job satisfaction. I was also lucky that SAP didn't have a training bond for all the money they spent on me for the overseas trainings #sorrynotsorry hehe. Anyway, that was that.

Boston, Massachusetts USA
In end-September 2014, I had the chance to travel to Boston, Massachusetts for the first time. Again, this was for training purposes as well. I actually previously worked for SAP. That company has loads of money. We went to Boston just to attend 2 days of training so I was in the US for a total of only 4 days. Upon arrival in the USA, the immigration officer joked and said "can't your company just give you a piece of paper or something for training?" hahaha.

San Francisco, California USA
(L-R) Myself, Alfian and ex-colleague Allan |
The last time I've been to the US was in 1999 when my father sought for medical treatment there. So I was so happy that after around 15 years, I had the chance to go back there last Aug 2014 when I went for training with my ex-company.

Mystical Cambodia
In May last year, a month after our UAE trip, we went to Cambodia with my flatmates. Above is myself enjoying the welcome drink at the Raffles Hotel in Phnom Penh hehe. We can never afford to stay at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore so since it was super affordable there, off we went.

Abu Dhabi, UAE
We drove to Abu Dhabi, around an hour or so from Dubai, to go to the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Breathtaking is an understatement. The mosque was really a sight to behold!

California Pizza Kitchen, Forum Shopping Mall (2)
I remember giving CPK a bad review in my first post about the restaurant, click here. I don't remember eating here again since that time and that was several years ago. Since they are part of the Entertainer app, we ate here again in January of this year and I must say the food and the service has greatly improved.
In fact, I used to eat quite often at CPK back in the Philippines as they used to be very famous there. I don't know anymore if they are still at Glorietta Mall in Makati.

Wild Honey, Mandarin Gallery & Scotts Square
I've been to Wild Honey twice. The first time was a few years ago and the second was just recently. It is very high end for an all-day breakfast sort of place so I cannot afford to eat here all the time haha.

This is a super delayed post. This happened a few weeks (or days?) after our first visit to Lime (click here for the previous blog post).

Eighteen Chefs, Cathay Cineleisure
This happened sometime April of last year (found these photos on my phone when I was cleaning up old files).
This restaurant is pretty special as the founder is an ex-convict. "Eighteen" is the name of the gang that his father once belonged to, thus the name of the restaurant.

Au Petit Salut, Harding Road
I was purging the photos on my phone and chanced upon these. This happened in February 2013. I kniw, super delayed post haha. The place was very memorable though as it is located in Dempsey, which is one of my favorite locations in Singapore.

The Prime Society, Dempsey Road
The Prime Society is dubbed as having one of the best steaks in Singapore. It's located at the Dempsey area which I feel is one of the most romantic places to dine here. The surrounding trees among the hills are a stark contrast to the concrete jungle that is Singapore.
Entertainer app is really awesome especially at expensive places like these. Plus, Prime Society gave complimentary appetizer, bread and bite-size desserts which made it even more worth it.
Enjoy the photos!

J's Restaurant, Purvis Street
This is another restaurant review brought to you by the delayed blogger haha. This also happened mid of last year and once again thank you to Entertainer App. You have to buy that app on your phone if you love eating out. If you live in Singapore, you probably do love eating out as it is one of the best things to do here with the myriad of selection.
J's restaurant is a quaint restaurant along Purvis Street near City Hall MRT. The paella was nice but for some reason this restaurant wasn't very memorable to me. Anyway, enjoy the photos!

Lime Restaurant, ParkRoyal on Pickering
This happened mid of last year. Haha. I'm so sorry I've been neglecting this blog. I may have a 2-3 week break very soon and I hope to update my posts.
Anyway, Lime Restaurant at ParkRoyal on Pickering is no doubt one of my most favorite restaurants in Singapore. I love the "greenhouse" effect of the decor and interior. The food is also really good and what makes it even more awesome is that we have the Entertainer app that gave us Buy 1 Take 1 lunch buffet. Yahoo!
So let the pictures speak for themselves haha #lazyblogger.
